Bench mark descriptions, 1911-1950.

Listing of thousands of bench marks established in Queens. Entries for each bench mark include community location (name of old village), final section map number covering location, name of tentative map for the area, and a detailed physical description of location of bench mark and its appearance. Descriptions include all names by which a street had been known up to the date the bench mark was set. Destroyed bench marks are also noted.
